 Lee Clark & Jamie Gee Lee Clark and Jamie Gee are collectively known as Funktion. Their night of Funky House and Electro can be found on the last Saturday of every month and have brought many a guest DJ to Dumfries including Kissy Sell Out, Kate Lawler, Foamo, Reset, Tom Starr, Krafty Kuts, Yousef and Nadastrom to name but a few, which many of us would never of imagined seeing in The Venue.  DJ Simon Simon joined The Venue when it opened in April 1999, but only started a resident night in 2002. He can be found in the DJ box most weekends at some point playing retro chart hits from his hey-day. Simon can be recognised by his retro telephone headphone (which he made himself) and big bushy beard, as he looks nothing like this picture anymore, plus he's about 40.. Click here for website |
 DJ Daniel Daniel started DJing many years ago, by using everyone else's broken 2nd hand equipment to which he took much of a ribbing. Now after a lot of practise and many upgrades he DJs most weekends in The Venue with his own broken equipment. Daniel even owns his own mobile DJ and blow-up disco hire company.  DJ Kevin Wallace Kevin was a resident DJ in The Ballroom throughout the 00's and played what we now class as "Classic Dance Anthems" He occasionally returns to play a set at "Back to the Ballroom" in which you can hear all the best dance tunes of the last decade.  DJ Johnny Dj Johnny is a rare sight these days as he is kept busy playing Superman and saving innocent people's lives. He loves playing the latest chart and retro R&B to keep you up on the dance floor and can mainly be found in the Sky Bar on a rare return-visit home. Click here for website |
 DJ Andy Ballantyne Andy is no stranger to the decks at The Venue, with his introduction many years ago at Nitro, and appearing at many other nights since then, he now hosts his own night called Dubsidence. With recognising a gap in the market for the upcoming Dubstep and Bass-Music scene he has quickly brought together a fantastic busy night with great music on his monthly event.
